"Also known as Queen of the Night or NIght Blooming Cereus. People invite friends over for a party when this one blossoms. It's true that the bloom dies by late morning, but a mature plant has huge blossoms and the fragrance is incredible. A mature plant needs support and space. I have seen them growing in the ground if the drainage is good.
*** Editorial note: As mentioned in the main area of this web site, "Night Blooming Cereus" is an incorrect nickname for this plant. People do sometimes call it that, but this plant is in no way a cereus. And "Queen of the Night" generally refers to another species, Selenicereus."
